The way Michael Bisping sees it, Alex Pereira is probably just salty about the UFC 334 main event.
At the top billing of the Nov. 14 card in Madison Square Garden, Ciryl Gane (14-2 MMA, 11-2 UFC) defends his heavyweight title against Josh Hokit (10-0 MMA, 4-0 UFC). In the co-headliner, UFC bantamweight champion Kayla Harrison welcomes the returning Amanda Nunes, who is coming out of retirement.
Pereira (13-4 MMA, 10-3 UFC), who will look to rebound from his stoppage loss to Gane this past June when he meets Sergei Pavlovich at UFC 335 on Dec. 12, took aim at the promotion's choice for putting Gane vs. Hokit as the main event.
"My name Dum Dum. You bring me Gum Gum?" lol I didn't realize that losing your aura, affected your IQ. You aren't even BMF
worthy. They prefer a little crotch sniffer over a Auraless Sorceress. Hopefully Sergei doesn't end you like he did your brazillian punching bag, teammate. https://t.co/nYJVt4xrfz

"Alex Pereira, talking a ton of sh*t, saying that Ciryl Gane vs. Josh Hokit, which is for the undisputed heavyweight title, that should not be the main event in Madison Square Garden at UFC 324, which is just crazy," Bisping said on his YouTube channel. "Saying that it should be the co-main event, that Amanda Nunes vs. Kayla Harrison, which is a phenomenal fight, of course, we all want to see 'The Lioness' back, probably the greatest pound-for-pound female fighter the sport's ever seen, and against Kayla, that'll be a good fight.
"But you don't put that – by the way, they've both been out for a long time. You don't put that over Josh Hokit vs. Ciryl Gane for the heavyweight strap. No, Ciryl Gane and Josh Hokit both just fought at the White House, they've got massive names, and it's for the title of the baddest man on the planet, right? That is the main event on any card. Ciryl Gane is the undisputed heavyweight champion of the world, and Alex Pereira is pissed off about it. He's still upset about all the back of the head stuff and whatnot. I'm not even going to get into all that stuff. I've talked about it 20 times. He just needs to let it go because it's not a good look. It really isn't a good look."
Gane is a moderate favorite over Hokit, but Bisping doesn't rule out the rising contender's chances.
"Josh Hokit, he's got to use the wrestling against Ciryl Gane," Bisping said. "It's as simple as that. If he stands on the feet, it's going to be a tough night at the office, but he can mix it up, and he is a really good wrestler, and he's a tremendous athlete. He's a tremendous athlete, NFL, wrestling, MMA, man can seemingly do it all. But anyway, what do you think about all this? What do you think about Alex Pereira going on saying it shouldn't be the main event? That is a crazy shout. That's a main event fight all day long."
