There will be a battle of Brazilian strawweights in Abu Dhabi.
At UFC 333, Nicolle Caliari and Iasmin Lucindo will collide. The event takes place Oct. 24 at Etihad Arena and streams on Paramount+. Two people with knowledge of the matchup informed MMA Junkie of the booking but asked to remain anonymous as the promotion has yet to make an official announcement.
Caliari (9-4 MMA, 1-2 UFC) aims to parlay a submission victory over Shauna Bannon in May into a winning streak after losing fights to Ernesta Kareckaite and Carli Judice in 2025.
Lucindo (18-6 MMA, 5-2 UFC) returns from a nine-month drug suspension for mesterlone. Her team denied any intentional use and pointed to contaminated supplements.
An investigation by UFC anti-doping program CSAD backed
these claims. Lucindo was coming off a win over Angela Hill when the out-of-competition drug test flagging occurred. That win had gotten her back on track after a loss to Amanda Lemos months prior.
The updated UFC 333 fight card includes:
- Champion Alexander Volkanovski vs. Movsar Evloev – for featherweight title
- Champion Petr Yan vs. Merab Dvalishvili – for bantamweight title
- Lone'er Kavanagh vs. Ramazan Temirov
