After years of trash talk, Colby Covington and Khamzat Chimaev will finally face each other.
Covington is set to defend his RAF cruiserweight crossover title against Chimaev in the main event of RAF Abu Dhabi on Nov. 14, the promotion announced Tuesday morning. The event will take place at Etihad Arena and will stream live on FOX Nation.
Covington looks to not only defend his belt, but also stay undefeated on the RAF wrestling mats. Covington, who retired from MMA earlier this year, has had a great deal of success in RAF. He's 5-0 in the organization. "Chaos" beat Arman Tsarukyan in July to win the RAF cruiserweight crossover title, and then defended it this month at RAF 13 against Belal Muhammad in Miami.
Chimaev also looks to stay unbeaten in
RAF. He debuted in June, dominating Dillon Danis, and then followed up with other dominant wins over Tyron Woodley and, more recently, Gilbert Burns. Chimaev, who's still active in his MMA career, lost the UFC middleweight title in May in an upset loss against Sean Strickland. He has not been booked to fight since.
