The Green Bay Packers are leaving no stone unturned in their search for much-needed help along the offensive line. According to the league's transaction wire, the Packers hosted veteran offensive lineman Kevin Zeitler, a Wisconsin native, for an official visit on Tuesday.
The Packers recently signed 2015 first-round pick Laken Tomlinson to the 53-man roster and 2020 first-round pick Mekhi Becton to the practice squad. Could Zeitler, a 2012 first-round pick who has made 213 career starts, be the next addition?
A reported visit suggests the Packers are strongly interested in signing the player, although nothing was official as of Tuesday afternoon.
Zeitler, now 36, has played for six NFL teams. He most recently played for the Tennessee Titans, starting
16 games for the team during the 2025 season. His contract expired following the 2025 season and he has not signed with a team for the 2026 season.
Zeitler has played over 14,000 career snaps at right guard, his preferred position. The Packers have started Jacob Monk at right guard during the first three games, and Monk has struggled mightily, allowing 11 pressures, including one sack and five quarterback hits, per PFF.
Even as a 35-year-old with the Titans last season, Zeitler allowed only 16 total pressures and committed only four penalties across 909 snaps, per PFF.
If signed, Zeitler could give the Packers a reliable veteran presence at right guard, while Tomlinson -- who has played the majority of his career at left guard -- could handle the other side while Aaron Banks is out with knee and toe injuries.
