The Green Bay Packers hosted five edge rushers for a tryout on Monday, and the team is also signing a new quarterback to the practice squad.
According to the transaction wire, the Packers hosted edge rushers Anthony Vincent, Seth Coleman, D.J. Johnson, Dasan McCullough and Reid Williford for a tryout, suggesting the team is looking to add depth at edge rusher on the practice squad.
Vincent, McCullough and Williford went undrafted in the 2026 draft class. Johnson was a third-round pick in the 2023 NFL draft, while Coleman has been with three different teams since entering the NFL as an undrafted free agent in 2025.
The more significant roster move: The Packers are signing quarterback Cam Miller, who previously worked out for the team this season,
to the team's practice squad, per Jeremy Fowler of ESPN.
Miller was a sixth-round pick of the Las Vegas Raiders in the 2025 draft. A two-time FCS champion and one-time All-American while at North Dakota State, Miller is going on his third NFL team in two years. He spent most of his rookie season in 2025 on the Raiders practice squad, but he was signed by the Dolphins late in the season and spent the offseason in Miami. He was waived by the team at final cuts on Aug. 30, the same day the Packers traded Kyle McCord to the Dolphins.
During the 2026 preseason, Miller completed 16 of 38 passes for 170 yards, zero touchdowns and two interceptions over three games with the Dolphins. He completed 20 of 37 passes for 203 yards, one touchdown and one interception during the 2025 preseason with the Raiders.
The Packers had two open spots on the practice squad, making it likely Miller and one of the five edge rushers are the two signings.
It's unclear if the Packers will keep quarterback Kedon Slovis, who has been on the practice squad since the start of the regular season, or if the Packers are going in a different direction at QB3.
