Defensive lineman Warren Brinson was the only player not practicing for the Green Bay Packers as Matt LaFleur's team began on-field prep for the New York Jets in Week 2 on Wednesday, per Mike Spofford of Packers.com.
While Brinson might be in danger of missing his second consecutive game because of a calf injury, the participation of the 52 other players on the roster suggests the Packers avoided a notable injury during Sunday's Week 1 loss in Minneapolis.
Among those practicing is left guard Aaron Banks, who LaFleur said would participate on Wednesday while attempting to ramp up to play on Sunday in New York. He was inactive in Week 1 while battling knee tendonitis.
Brinson has been out since injuring his calf in pre-game warmups in Denver on Aug.
21. The Packers have seven players at defensive tackle on the 53-man roster, so depth is not a problem with Brinson on the mend, but the 2025 sixth-round pick looked like an ascending player to start his second training camp.
The only players the Packers reported as leaving the contest on Sunday were tight end Josh Whyle (stinger), receiver Bo Melton (cramps) and cornerback Brandon Cisse (cramps). Whyle eventually returned to the game.
Linebacker Ty'Ron Hopper, who was also inactive in Week 1, is practicing. He is dealing with an Achilles injury.
The Packers will release the first injury report of the week later on Wednesday.
