The Green Bay Packers and Atlanta Falcons will announce their inactive players 90 minutes before kickoff on Thursday night, or roughly 5:50 a.m. CT. This post will update as more information on player availability is known and official gameday inactives for Week 3 are announced.
Football is a game of attrition, even early in the season. Here is who's in and who's out for the Packers and Falcons in Week 3:
Javon Hargrave is ACTIVE for Week 3
Some good injury news: veteran defensive lineman Javon Hargrave has cleared the league's concussion protocol and will play on Thursday against the Falcons. He missed one game while in the protocol. Hargrave played 30 snaps in the season opener. The Packers will have Hargrave, Devonte Wyatt, Karl Brooks, Jonathan Ford and Chris McClellan available
at defensive line.
The Packers are also returning cornerback Benjamin St-Juste from a hamstring injury.
Packers inactives, Week 3
All five of the Packers' inactive players are injured players:
- DL Warren Brinson (ruled out, calf injury)
- WR Jayden Reed (ruled out, neck injury)
- OL Zach Bako-Bewele (ruled out, knee injury)
- OL Aaron Banks (ruled out, toe/knee injury)
- DL Anthony Campbell (ankle injury)
With Bako-Bewele and Banks out, Travis Glover and John Williams are both active as backups for the Packers along the offensive line. Anthony Belton is active, as expected, and will start at right tackle. Either Donovan Jennings or Jager Burton will start at left guard.
Running back Josh Jacobs remains on the Commissioner's Exempt List and will not play Sunday against the Jets.
Falcons inactives, Week 3
- QB Cooper Rush (emergency QB)
- QB Jack Strand
- CB Malcolm DeWalt IV
- CB Robert Longerbeam
- LB Samson Ebukam
- OL Ethan Onianwa
The Falcons are also without cornerback A.J. Terrell, who was placed on injured reserve this week.
