The Green Bay Packers made three changes to the team's Week 7 injury report on Thursday: quarterback Jordan Love was upgraded to a full participant, while linebacker Zaire Franklin and edge rusher Lukas Van Ness were added as limited participants.
Love, who is dealing with back soreness coming out of last Sunday's win over the Dallas Cowboys, got in a full padded practice on Thursday. He said Wednesday that he had no concerns over his availability for Sunday's showdown with the Detroit Lions, and Love's upgraded practice status on Thursday appears to confirm his belief. Barring a setback, he'll start against the Lions at Ford Field.
Two defensive starters are dealing with new issues: Franklin has a shin injury, while Van Ness has an illness. It's
currently unclear if either player is in danger of missing Sunday. More information will be available come Friday, when Matt LaFleur answers questions from the media before practice and before the Packers release a final injury report. Last week, safety Evan Williams was able to get through an illness and play well against the Cowboys.
The only player who did not participate for the Packers at practice on Thursday was receiver Bo Melton, who is dealing with a back injury. He can be assumed out for Sunday unless he practices in some capacity on Friday.
Receivers Christian Watson (ankle) and Matthew Golden (shoulder) both practiced in a limited capacity. LaFleur said both would play Sunday against the Lions.
