The Green Bay Packers released the team’s first injury report of Week 2 on Wednesday. The team will release two more injury reports, including a final injury report on Friday with official playing status designations, before facing the New York Jets in Week 2 of the 2026 season on Sunday.
Here’s everything to know from the Packers' first injury report of the week:
Participation report, Week 2 at NYJ
- Did not participate: DL Warren Brinson (calf)
- Limited participation: OL Zach Bako-Bewele (knee), G Aaron Banks (knee), DL Javon Hargrave (knee/concussion), LB Ty'Ron Hopper (Achilles), EDGE Barryn Sorrell (foot), EDGE Lukas Van Ness (concussion), DL Devonte Wyatt (ankle)
- Full participation: CB Brandon Cisse (cramps)
Big things to know
-- Edge rusher Lukas Van Ness and defensive tackle Javon Hargrave are both in the concussion protocol coming out of Week 1. Both practiced on Wednesday, so playing on Sunday is still on the table. They will need to clear the stages of the protocol to play.
-- The only other addition to the injury report was cornerback Brandon Cisse, who left Sunday's loss with cramping. He was a full
participant on Wednesday and should have no issues playing Sunday.
-- Warren Brinson did not practice after missing Week 1. He is still working through a calf injury suffered almost a month ago. Not practicing Wednesday suggests he'll be in danger of missing a second straight game to open 2026.
-- The Packers removed left tackle Jordan Morgan from the injury report entirely. He was previously dealing with a knee injury.
-- Left guard Aaron Banks, who didn't play Week 1, practiced in a limited capacity. Matt LaFleur said the team is ramping him up before Sunday, but his status is still in wait-and-see mode. Right tackle Zach Bako-Bewele was limited, but he practiced on Wednesday.
-- The Jets had four players who didn't practice on Wednesday because of injuries: receiver Omar Cooper Jr. (ankle), safety Minkah Fitzpatrick (groin), running back/returner Kene Nwangwu (back) and edge rusher Joseph Ossai (foot). Aaron Glenn's team will likely be without a few key players on Sunday. Rookie cornerback D'Angelo Ponds (calf) practiced in a limited capacity after missing Week 1, so he could make his pro debut Sunday.
