Keisean Nixon produced a dream start for Jonathan Gannon and the Green Bay Packers defense to open the 2026 regular season.
On the game's first play, Nixon dumped former Packers running back Aaron Jones for a tackle for loss. A play later, he picked off Kyler Murray's first pass attempt with the Minnesota Vikings, delivering a takeaway on the season's second play from scrimmage.
Gannon wasted no time blitzing Murray, and pressure up the middle from linebacker Zaire Franklin set up the interception. Murray was under duress immediately, and he threw up a jump ball down the field that Nixon easily intercepted. Franklin was credited with a QB hit.

In just two plays, Nixon has already
matched his interception total from the 2025 season.
The Packers converted the takeaway into three points on Trey Smack's 59-yard field goal.
