The Green Bay Packers will go to U.S. Bank Stadium to take on the Minnesota Vikings to open the 2026 regular season on Sunday afternoon. The Week 1 showdown within the NFC North will be broadcast to most of the country in the late afternoon window on CBS.
The season opener is scheduled for a 3:25 p.m. kickoff from Minneapolis. CBS will broadcast the game with their top announcer pair: Jim Nantz and J.J. Watt.
There is only one competing game in the timeslot on CBS: Arizona Cardinals versus Los Angeles Chargers, so a few major TV markets won't get Packers-Vikings. But the majority of the country will get to see Matt LaFleur's team in the opener.

Because the Packers are playing the Vikings, there are no conflicts for viewers in various parts of Wisconsin in the Minneapolis TV market. However, TV markets in Denver, Kansas City, Arizona, Las Vegas and Los Angeles will NOT get Packers-Vikings.
Both the Packers and Vikings are hoping to kick off the 2026 season with a big win inside the division. And there are plenty of storylines, from Kyler Murray versus Jonathan Gannon to Jordan Love versus Brian Flores.
For those outside the viewing area, Packers-Vikings will be available on NFL Sunday Ticket via YouTubeTV.
