Skyy Moore needed only two games to ignite the return game of the Green Bay Packers and accomplish something statistically that no Packers player has done since the 2008 season.
Moore, who arrived in Green Bay via free agency in March, produced 208 combined punt and kick return yards on Sunday against the New York Jets. He became the first Packers player since Will Blackmon in 2008 to go over 200 return yards in a game, a rare feat Desmond Howard once accomplished as MVP in Super Bowl XXXI and only seven total Packers players accomplished before Moore on Sunday.

Moore produced a 43-yard kickoff return, and his 63-yard punt return put the Packers in position to tie the game in the fourth quarter. His four kickoff returns
netted 116 yards, while his four punt returns gained 92 yards. For reference, Moore needed only eight total returns to go over 200 yards, while Blackmon -- the last to go over 200 -- had kickoff returns and three punt returns back in a 51-29 loss to the Saints in 2008.
Finally, the Packers have a return game again, and not a second too soon. Without Moore's long punt return in the fourth quarter, it's possible Matt LaFleur's team would be 0-2 heading back to Green Bay. His 63-yarder gift-wrapped the game-tying field goal.
Through two weeks, and pending results on Monday night, Moore ranks first in the NFL in punt return yards (109), punt return average (18.9) and long punt return (63). He is also fifth in total punt and kickoff return yards, and Moore did not return kicks for the Packers in Week 1.
Last season, the Packers didn't have a punt return of more than 20 yards or a kickoff return of more than 36 yards. Moore easily cleared both marks on Sunday at MetLife Stadium. And he's the first returner for the Packers to have a punt return of at least 60 yards and punt return of at least 40 yards in a game since 2011, a span of 15 years.
Moore is just the seventh Packers player to produce a punt return of at least 60 yards since the start of the 2000 season.
The Packers signed Moore to a one-year deal worth $2.5 million this offseason.
