If defining "disruptive" as creating negative plays, the Green Bay Packers have the most disruptive defense in the NFL through two weeks of the 2026 season.
The Packers defense has created an NFL-high 19 negative plays in two games.
Linebacker Edgerrin Cooper is leading the way with an NFL-best 5.0 tackles for loss (including 2.0 sacks), while Lukas Van Ness is tied for second among all NFL players with 4.0 tackles for loss, and he leads the Packers with 2.5 sacks.
Packers opponents have created 11 run plays losing yards, while the Packers have sacked the opposing quarterback seven times in two games. Javon Bullard also produced a tackle for loss in coverage.
Cooper is having an All-Pro level start to 2026. After creating only 4.0 tackles for loss
all of last season, Cooper already has 5.0 in two games this year.

Cooper joins Vikings DE Danielle Hunter (2023) and Bears LB Brian Urlacher (2002, 2005) as the only NFL players since 2000 to register 15-plus tackles, five-plus tackles for a loss and multiple sacks in the first two games of a season."
Per Next Gen Stats, Cooper ranks tied for sixth among all players with 11 total stops, or a tackle creating a failure for the offense.
Van Ness is also ascending. He has a team-high 12 quarterback pressures in two games, ranking fifth among all players, and his 10 stops rank second to only Will Anderson Jr. among NFL edge rushers.
Bullard (seven) and Zaire Franklin (eight) have combined for 15 stops. After two games, Bullard looks like one of the most complete slot defenders in football.
Per Next Gen Stats, the Packers have 36 total pressures in two games, ranking fourth, and their 45.6 percent pressure rate ranks third. Jonathan Gannon's crew is creating pressure without Micah Parsons. The Packers are also giving up 2.9 yards per run attempt, and they rank fifth in rushing EPA allowed per attempt.
Overall, the Packers have allowed only 3.9 yards per play through two games, ranking second to only the Seattle Seahawks entering Week 3.
