Green Bay Packers quarterback Jordan Love produced a masterclass on Sunday against the Chicago Bears, continuing a trend of producing some of his best games against the division rivals.
In the six games he has finished against Chicago in his career, Love is now up to 1,746 yards, 15 touchdown passes and two interceptions, a 68% completion rate and a passer rating of 123.
It was a thrilling display, but where does it rank among the top performances of his career? Here are Love’s best five games from his career so far:
5. At Pittsburgh Steelers (2025)
The game against Pittsburgh last season was full of narrative, with Christian Watson making his return and more pertinently, student going against master as Love faced former teammate and future Packers Hall of Famer Aaron Rodgers
on the other side.
Green Bay trailed at half time before Love put on a show in the second half, making two incredible throws to Tucker Kraft and Watson, channeling his inner monologue of "Screw it, they’re down there somewhere."
Beyond those magic moments, this was arguably the cleanest Love has ever played, as he tied a franchise record with Brett Favre for most consecutive completions at 20, and posted a passer rating of 134.2, which at the time was the second-best of his career, and the best in the regular season.
4. Vs. Chicago Bears (2026)
Sunday’s game felt massive for the Packers’ season, and also a pivotal point in the rivalry after how last season ended. Love met the moment with a spotless performance, leading Green Bay to a dominant win as Chicago’s defense had no answers, as has often been the case in his career.
His 367 yards on the day included a handful of incredible downfield throws, the best of which was the 53-yard touchdown pass to Watson after just dropping one in the bucket for J. Michael Sturdivant the play before, only to see that score ruled out for offensive pass interference.
If anyone had forgotten what kind of player Love is when given protection, Sunday was a timely reminder of the firework shows he is capable of producing.
3. Vs. Kansas City Chiefs (2023)
The win over the Chiefs came during a stretch where it became clear the baby Packers were hitting their stride, and served as a national coming-out party for Love, who was at his gunslinging best and clearly in a flow.
He was hitting the back of his drop and firing, and also pulled off one of the more miraculous throws of his career, dropping the ball out of the sky into the hands of Romeo Doubs between four defenders on 4th and 1. Like many of his passes that game, it came off his back foot.
Two of his touchdown passes were almost as impressive. The first came after he looked to flee the pocket before he spotted Watson and immediately halted, tossing it to him for the score.
The second barely missed a defender’s hands in the back of the end zone as Watson high-pointed the ball, which again was thrown off Love’s back-foot. It was a special night and was a sign of things to come.
2. At Detroit Lions (2025)
This was perhaps the most clutch performance of Love’s career. It was a back-and-forth NFC North battle in which he just kept answering the bell with one highlight-reel throw after another.
Love floated a touchdown to Dontayvion Wicks between two defenders on 4th and 2, placed a perfect pass to Luke Musgrave deep downfield after rolling to his right, hit Doubs at the front pylon for another score on 4th and 1, and also hit Watson for a deep touchdown.
But he saved his best throw for last, icing the game by finding Wicks on 4th and 3 with a defender right in his face. At that moment, it felt like the Packers were destined to go on and claim the division title before injuries derailed the season.
1. At Dallas Cowboys (2023)
This is when Love truly arrived, as he diced up Dallas on the road in his first playoff appearance to the tune of 272 yards, a 76.2% completion rate, three touchdowns and a 157.2 passer rating, which remains the best of his career.
More impressive than the raw numbers was his calmness in the face of pressure, as he went five of seven for 152 yards and two scores, including the incredible throw to Wicks against an all-out blitz to essentially put the game out of reach.
His ability to buy time and eventually find the open man, or use his famous ‘silly body’ to get the ball out by any means necessary, was on full display.
He had to take the ball over Aaron Jones’ head on a play action fake to avoid running into him, before firing to an open Doubs, hit Musgrave throwing back across his body for a long touchdown and also spotted an impossible window to find Doubs in a crowd in the end zone.
The season would end a week later, but that performance left the Packers in no doubt they had their next franchise quarterback.
