The Green Bay Packers and New York Jets will announce their inactive players 90 minutes before kickoff on Sunday afternoon, or roughly 10:30 a.m. CT. This post will update as more information on player availability is known and official gameday inactives for Week 2 are announced.
Football is a game of attrition, even early in the season. Here is who's in and who's out for the Packers and Jets in Week 2:
Question marks for Packers
Lukas Van Ness was removed from the injury report after passing concussion protocol on Saturday, but starting offensive lineman Aaron Banks and Zach Bako-Bewele are both questionable to play. Banks, who missed Week 1, is the big question mark for the Packers on Sunday. If he can't go, who starts at left guard? Cornerback Benjmain St-Juste is also
questionable to play, but the Packers did not elevate a cornerback from the practice squad on Saturday.
Question marks for Jets
Will the Jets have edge rusher Will McDonald IV? He is questionable to play with an ankle injury suffered this week. It's possible he could be limited by the injury even if active on Sunday. The Jets are expected to have rookie cornerback D'Angelo Ponds, who will make his NFL debut.
Packers inactives, Week 2
- DL Warren Brinson (ruled out, calf injury)
- DL Javon Hargrave (ruled out, concussion)
Running back Josh Jacobs remains on the Commissioner's Exempt List and will not play Sunday against the Jets.
Jets inactives, Week 2
- S Minkah Fitzpatrick (ruled out, groin injury)
- RB Kene Nwangwu (ruled out, back injury)
- EDGE Joseph Ossai (ruled out, foot injury)
The Jets placed rookie receiver Omar Cooper Jr. on injured reserve this week.
