The Green Bay Packers released the team’s first injury report of Week 5 on Wednesday. The team will release two more injury reports, including a final injury report on Friday with official playing status designations, before facing the Chicago Bears in Week 5 of the 2026 season on Sunday.
Both teams are dealing with injuries to start on-field preparations for the rivalry game.
Here’s everything to know from the Packers' and Bears' first injury report:
Packers injury report, Week 5
- Did not participate: G Aaron Banks (knee/toe), RB Chris Brooks (ankle), OL Jager Burton (back), OL Jacob Monk (quad)
- Limited participation: G/T Anthony Belton (knee), DL Anthony Campbell (ankle), EDGE Lukas Van Ness (shoulder), WR Savion Williams (ankle, designated for return from IR), DL Devonte Wyatt (ankle)
- Full participation: CB Brandon Cisse (neck)
Things to know
-- Running back Chris Brooks did not practice because of the ankle injury he suffered on Sunday in Tampa. His absence could mean the Packers elevate Pierre Strong Jr. from the practice squad this week.
-- Rookie cornerback Brandon Cisse is listed with a neck injury but was a full participant on Wednesday.
Great news after he was really shaken up to finish Sunday's game. No concussion, and the neck issue is minor.
-- Other new injuries: right tackle Anthony Belton has a knee injury and defensive tackle Devonte Wyatt has an ankle injury, but both were able to practice on Wednesday.
-- Defensive tackle Anthony Campbell returned to practice after missing back-to-back games with an ankle injury.
-- Three offensive linemen remain out: Aaron Banks, Jacob Monk and Jager Burton, who have all started games for the Packers in 2026, didn't practice on Wednesday. Banks has missed three of the first four games and could be in danger of losing his starting spot to Laken Tomlinson. Monk is no longer a viable starting option at right guard after the addition of Kevin Zeitler and the emergence of Travis Glover. It's possible Burton doesn't play a snap on offense the rest of the year.
-- The Bears are currently littered with injuries, and many will need to be monitored closely over the next few days. Three starting offensive linemen (Darnell Wright, Jonah Jackson and Joe Thuney) and both running backs (D'Andre Swift and Kyle Monangai) did not practice on Wednesday. Are they in danger of not playing Sunday? Or are they easing their way back after playing 89 plays, including 54 runs, against the Jets? Stay tuned. Even one or two of those players not being available would be big news. The Bears could return nickel corner Kyler Gordon, who practiced fully on Wednesday.
