The Green Bay Packers will be without one of their five starting offensive linemen in Week 1 against the Minnesota Vikings. Matt LaFleur's team made starting left guard Aaron Banks inactive on Sunday.
Banks has been battling knee tendonitis for weeks despite attempting to manage the injury during training camp. He participated in a limited capacity during all three practices this week, but he is not able to go on Sunday. Rookie Jager Burton or backup Donovan Jennings will get the start at left guard.
The good news: right tackle Zach Bako-Bewele is active, so the Packers will have four of their five starters up front on offense.
In addition to Banks, the Packers will also be without linebacker Ty'Ron Hopper, who was questionable to play. Defensive
lineman Warren Brinson was ruled out with a calf injury on Friday.
The three healthy scratches are defensive lineman Anthony Campbell, offensive lineman Travis Glover and rookie receiver J. Michael Sturdivant.
