The Green Bay Packers released wide receiver Chris Hilton Jr. from the practice squad on Tuesday. After signing receiver Bo Melton from the practice squad and releasing long snapper Scott Daly from the practice squad on Monday, the Packers now have three open spots to fill this week.
Tuesday is generally the day of the week for workouts and tryouts, so it's possible the Packers will be making a few additions to the practice squad before Wednesday's practice. According to Jason Hirschhorn of The Leap, the Packers worked out the following players on Tuesday:
- DT Zxavian Harris
- DT Jalen Hunt
- WR Nick Nash
- WR Bryce Oliver
- WR Quincy Skinner
- DE Cruz Smith
While Savion Williams is on injured reserve, the Packers have six wide receivers on the 53-man roster, including Melton and rookie J. Michael Sturdivant, and wide receiver Isaiah Neyor remains
on the practice squad as another option. This team is eight-deep at receiver, but adding a ninth on the practice squad is likely.
The Packers lost defensive tackle Jaden Crumedy off the practice squad last week, so adding a defensive lineman to the practice squad is probably a priority this week.
Per Rob Demovsky of ESPN, the Packers worked out defensive lineman Eric Johnson (fifth-round pick of the Colts in 2022) and quarterback Cam Miller (sixth-round pick of the Raiders in 2025) on Monday. The team did not report a signing of either player on Tuesday.
