The Green Bay Packers and New England Patriots will announce their inactive players 90 minutes before kickoff on Sunday afternoon, or roughly 1:55 p.m. CT. This post will update as more information on player availability is known and official gameday inactives for Week 9 are announced.
The Packers and Patriots are going into Sunday with nine players listed as questionable to play, including several starters, creating obvious question marks on the injury front for the two teams.
Football is a game of attrition, and the best teams are usually the healthiest teams. Here is who's in and who's out for the Packers and Patriots:
Packers inactives (updating)
- LB Zaire Franklin (ruled out)
- C Sean Rhyan (ruled out)
- G Travis Glover (ruled out)
- TE Josh Whyle (ruled out)
The Packers will need to make one more player inactive.
Patriots inactives (updating)
- WR A.J. Brown (ruled out)
- RB TreVeyon Henderson (ruled out)
Who are the players listed as questionable to play?
The Packers listed starting cornerback Keisean Nixon (groin) and backup
running back MarShawn Lloyd (knee) as questionable to play. Running back Chris Brooks is also questionable, but he is on injured reserve and wasn't activated in time to play. Nixon hasn't missed a game since joining the Packers in 2022.
The Patriots listed six players as questionable, including tight end Hunter Henry, safety Kevin Byard III, cornerback Carlton Davis III and right tackle Morgan Moses. All four are starters. Henry is a key player to watch because the Patriots are down both of their top receivers (A.J. Brown, Romeo Doubs).
Will Micah Parsons play?
Parsons returned to practice on Wednesday, opening his 21-day practice window, but he will not play on Sunday against the Patriots. He remains on the PUP list, and the Packers ruled him out for Week 9. His target return date is in Week 12 against the Rams.
Will the Packers face Romeo Doubs?
The former Packers receiver is on injured reserve due to a shoulder injury suffered in Week 6. He will miss his third consecutive game in Week 9. Doubs was injured catching a touchdown pass from Drake Maye. In his first season in New England, Doubs has 14 catches for 261 yards and three scores.
Who is on injured reserve/PUP list for the Packers and Patriots?
Packers: EDGE Micah Parsons, WR Jayden Reed, RT Zach Bako-Bewele, LB Edgerrin Cooper, OL Jacob Monk, WR Skyy Moore, DL Javon Hargrave, DL Jonathan Ford, DL Warren Brinson, EDGE Collin Oliver, RB Chris Brooks, TE Luke Musgrave
Patriots: EDGE Harold Landry, G Alijah Vera-Tucker, WR Romeo Doubs, FB Reggie Gilliam, S Dell Pettus, OL Greg Van Roten
