The Green Bay Packers added a pair of specialists to the practice squad on Wednesday. The team announced the signing of kicker Lenny Krieg, the team's new international exemption player, and long snapper Scott Daly, who played in 34 games over the last two seasons with the Chicago Bears.
Krieg was with the Packers earlier in training camp. A native of Germany, Krieg previously spent the 2025 season on the practice squad of the Atlanta Falcons and part of the 2026 offseason with the New York Jets. He will provide an insurance kicking option behind rookie Trey Smack, a sixth-round draft pick who was perfect during the preseason.
Daly, who entered the NFL as an undrafted free agent in 2018, played in 42 games for the Detroit Lions between the 2021
and 2023 seasons and 34 more with the Bears (plus two postseason games) over the last two seasons. Given his vast experience snapping in the NFC North, Daly provides a valuable backup option behind Matt Orzech, who missed all of training camp with a calf injury.
The Packers still have one spot left to fill on the practice squad. Because Krieg is designated as the International Player Pathway exemption, the Packers can roster the maximum 17 players on the practice squad.

The Packers have a player on the practice squad at every major position group, save for punter. Based on numbers, the Packers may want to use the final practice squad spot on a defensive back, where roster numbers are light.
