The Green Bay Packers will host a workout for UFL MVP and Orlando Storm quarterback Jack Plummer, according to NFL reporter Aaron Wilson.
Plummer, who entered the NFL as an undrafted free agent with the Carolina Panthers in 2024, was named the UFL's MVP in 2026 after leading the league with 195 completions, 2,188 passing yards and a 104.2 passer rating and finishing second with 17 passing touchdowns for the Storm, who went 8-2 but lost in the semifinals this past season.
Plummer (6-5, 215) completed 65.0 percent of his passes, rushed for two touchdowns and threw only one interception over 10 games. He was named an All-UFL player at quarterback. At the collegiate level, Plummer started games for Purdue, Cal and Louisville over a five-year career
that saw him throw 68 touchdown passes and 31 interceptions.
Lance Zierlein's scouting report on Plummer coming out of Louisville: "Tall pocket passer whose accuracy and ball placement will be directly tied to the pressure he has to face. Plummer can deliver accurate throws on possession tosses and three-step drops, but his delivery and release quickness might not be able to beat ball-hawking defensive backs on the next level. He lacks ideal pocket mobility and poise when it gets hot in the kitchen and he fails to take command of games consistently enough."
Per Wilson, the New York Jets are also considering Plummer after putting him through a workout this week.
The Packers recently signed former Arizona Cardinals quarterback Kedon Slovis to the practice squad as the third quarterback behind Jordan Love and Tyrod Taylor. It's possible Plummer could be replacement for Slovis if the Packers like what they see during the workout, or the team could consider keeping a second quarterback on the practice squad. The Packers have an open spot as of Friday afternoon.
Plummer, who turns 27 in October, has never appeared in a regular season NFL game. He hasn't been in the NFL since being waived by the Panthers at final roster cutdowns in August of last year.
