A football field is 100 yards, but Green Bay Packers quarterback Jordan Love managed to produce 109 total passing yards on a scoring drive to open Sunday night's showdown with the Dallas Cowboys.
Love completed 6-of-8 passes, including a 9-yard touchdown pass to Matthew Golden, and thanks to a pair of penalties, Love was able to throw for over 100 yards on the drive. How rare is this feat?
Per ESPN's Rob Demovsky, Love's 109 passing yards represent the most by a player on a single offensive drive in at least the last five years in the NFL.
The Packers converted all four third down opportunities on the drive, and Love completed passes of 37 yards to Golden, 14 yards to Pierre Strong Jr., 27 yards to Christian Watson and 15 yards to Savion Williams.
Green Bay got backed up 15 yards due to a taunting penalty on Golden and another five yards after Travis Glover was ineligible downfield. Love's passing was able to make up for the infractions.
Overall, the Packers went 90 yards across 14 plays, taking up 6:30 off the first quarter clock.
