The Green Bay Packers are releasing wide receiver Isaiah Neyor during final roster cutdowns on Sunday, according to Tom Pelissero of The Ringer.
Neyor, a talented second-year player out Nebraska, caught a team-high 10 passes for 100 yards during the preseason. He was competing with J. Michael Sturdivant and Will Sheppard for what might be a final roster spot at wide receiver.
Neyor caught at least three passes during each preseason game, but it was a drop -- on what could have been a long touchdown on third down from Kyle McCord during the preseason finale -- that will likely haunt the receiver.
According to PFF, Neyor averaged 1.41 yards per route run but had two drops during the preseason. The 25-year-old will now go on waivers.
Neyor was signed
by the Packers last August. He spent the entire 2025 season on the team's practice squad. The Packers elevated him to the active gameday roster for the NFC Wild Card Round, and he played three snaps on offense.
It's possible Neyor could return to Green Bay on the practice squad after final waiver claims are made on Monday.
