Green Bay Packers offensive coordinator Adam Stenavich said "everything is a possibility" and the Packers will "explore all avenues" when constructing the starting offensive line for Sunday's showdown with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Green Bay added offensive linemen Laken Tomlinson and Mekhi Becton this week, providing veteran options for an offensive line struggling across the board, and Stenavich said both Tomlinson and Becton will be candidates to play on Sunday despite just arriving in town.
"I think anything is a possibility, for sure. We are going to do whatever we can to put the best guys out there," Stenavich said. "We have to see where they are at, where they are at with the playbook and the calls and the gameplan. But yeah, everything
is a possibility and we're going to explore all avenues."
Tomlinson has started 162 career games and played thousands of snaps at left guard, where Aaron Banks is dealing with knee and toe injuries. The Packers think Tomlinson can play both sides of the line at guard. Becton has played guard and both tackle spots, and the Packers believe he's an option at guard or right tackle.
While Jordan Morgan and Sean Rhyan are locked in at left tackle and center, respectively, the three other positions look up for grabs in the coming weeks.
Jacob Monk, Donovan Jennings, Jager Burton and Anthony Belton have all struggled mightily while starting games through the first three weeks. Zach Bako-Bewele is out for the season and Banks has an uncertain status moving forward due to two different injuries.
It might be a lot to ask of a player, even a veteran like Tomlinson or Becton, to learn a new offense and be ready to play a full game after only one week. But the Packers are in a precarious spot along the offensive line and might need one of the two ready to go.
Tomlinson, who has previously played in a similar offense in San Francisco and has worked under Stenavich, might be the best option, especially considering Banks' injury situation at left guard.
Cordell Volson, who is on the practice squad with Becton and has been in Green Bay since Sept. 17, is another option. He's previously started 48 games at left guard.
The Packers also have Travis Glover and John Williams, two recent draft picks, on the 53-man roster. Neither has been given a chance to start in 2026.
