Green Bay Packers running back Josh Jacobs has been charged with two criminal offenses related to his May arrest. The Brown County District Attorney's Office formally charged Jacobs with one count of battery and one count of criminal damage to property, both Class A misdemeanor charges, via Matt Schneidman of The Athletic.
Per the charging document, Jacobs is accused of causing bodily harm and intentionally causing damage to the physical property of another person. Both charges come with a maximum fine of $10,000 and a maximum prison sentence of up to nine months.
The incident in question occurred on May 23 in the village of Hobart, Wisconsin. Jacobs was arrested on five different charges four days later. After an investigation and review of the incident,
the District Attorney decided on only two charges.
Per Tom Pelissero of The Ringer, the NFL is "monitoring all developments in the matter, which remains under review."
