The first "unofficial" depth of the 2026 regular season for the Green Bay Packers provided clarity on expected starters for Matt LaFleur's team ahead of Week 1 against the Minnesota Vikings.
Unofficial is noted here because the depth chart is not constructed by coaches and is instead put together by the public relations department. But even the unofficial depth chart is usually an accurate portrayal of where most things stand at various positions.
Along the offensive line, Jacob Monk is listed as a starter at right guard. Anthony Belton was previously listed as the starter there during the preseason, but Monk eventually ascended into the starting role and held it throughout the preseason. He has been the expected starter at right guard for Week
1 dating back weeks.
The expected starters along the offensive line are Jordan Morgan at left tackle, Aaron Banks at left guard, Sean Rhyan at center, Monk at right guard and Zach Bako-Bewele at right tackle, assuming all are healthy. But there are injury question marks with Banks and Bako-Bewele entering Week 1 -- Donovan Jennings is listed as the backup at left guard and Belton is the backup at right tackle.
At running back, the starter is MarShawn Lloyd, but offensive coordinator Adam Stenavich admitted Tuesday that the team will use a committee early in the season. At tight end, veteran Jonnu Smith is listed second behind Tucker Kraft despite arriving in Green Bay fewer than 10 days ago.
On defense, rookie Brandon Cisse and veteran Keisean Nixon are the expected starters at cornerback, with Benjamin St-Juste and Carrington Valentine as backups. Barryn Sorrell is the starter opposite Lukas Van Ness at edge rusher.
On special teams, the Packers are confident with Matt Orzech's health at long snapper, while Cam Achord confirmed Skyy Moore would be the returner of punts and kicks. The first depth chart reflects both statements. Bo Melton is the second-team kickoff returner.
