A year after watching Brian Callahan name seven team captains for the 2025 season, new Tennessee Titans head coach Robert Saleh and his staff will only deploy three team captains in 2026.
On Wednesday, the Titans announced that Cam Ward, Jeffery Simmons, and Morgan Cox were named captains for the 2026 season. This honor is nothing new for Simmons (six) and Cox (four), and now Ward (two), who are all returning as team captains for a second consecutive season. Saleh will also name one player from the offense and one from the defense each week to serve as captains alongside Simmons, Ward, and Cox.

General manager Mike Borgonzi and organizational
leadership have spent the offseason, training camp, and preseason rebuilding the culture at every level of the organization, starting with the hiring of Robert Saleh as head coach and then retooling the roster by adding multiple veteran leaders on both sides of the ball.
The team even underwent a complete rebrand as it enters its final season at Nissan Stadium, and hopefully, Ward, Simmons, and Cox will help lead the Titans into future success.
