It is a sad day for the Tennessee Titans and Nashville. While the decision to move Jeffery Simmons to the Chicago Bears makes sense in a rebuild, and it's been circulating on social media among the fanbase for some time, it’s doubtful anyone expected it.
At no point did the thought of Simmons playing for another franchise ever seem like it could become a reality. But it did, and from the sound of it, it surprised Simmons too; on Friday, he said goodbye on his Instagram page.

Simmons wasn't just a giant on the field; he became a pillar of the community, touching millions in the Nashville area through his foundation
and outreach programs. And now, general manager Mike Borgonzi faces the inevitable task of replacing a legend.
Another player will eventually come around and stack unbelievable numbers for the Titans’ defense, but no one will ever truly replace Simmons and his impact. And in the end, it is ironic that he is moving on to Chicago, where he is the prototype Monster of the Midway.
