Thursday is a dark day in Nashville and marks the start of a new era for the Tennessee Titans, who reportedly plan to trade All-Pro defensive tackle and team leader Jeffery Simmons to the Chicago Bears for significant compensation.
Multiple social media reports say Tennessee will receive two first-round picks and a fourth-rounder in exchange for Simmons, in an attempt to jump-start their rebuild with much-needed draft capital.

This move will likely send shockwaves through the fanbase and spark mixed reactions. Simmons has been the face of the franchise, a locker room leader through the worst era of Titans football, and a fan favorite.
Unfortunately, even with his dominance, the Titans couldn't find ways to win.
This move mirrors similar deals for top defensive players in 2026, with the New York Giants and Cleveland Browns trading away top talent to support their rebuilding efforts. General manager Mike Borgonzi appears to be following that blueprint.
With this news just breaking, Simmons, coach Robert Saleh, and Borgonzi haven't commented on the deal, so stay tuned for updates.
