The Tennessee Titans are off to a rough 0-2 start after losses to the New York Jets and Philadelphia Eagles, and while there have been some uneven moments, there have also been some bright spots.
Through two games, the offensive line has played better than many expected. Although it hasn’t been perfect, and they take the blame for some plays caused more by Cam Ward’s impatience than they should, it has been a positive start for a group playing together for the first extended stretch.
One offensive lineman who has stood out is tackle JC Latham, who has quietly had a strong start to the season.

Latham has truly improved as a pass
blocker and is showing signs of the player many expected when the Titans drafted him seventh overall in the 2024 NFL Draft. He still has inconsistencies and penalty issues to address, and his run blocking needs to improve, but there is no doubt he's been the Titans' best offensive tackle so far in 2026.
This uptick in performance, combined with the addition of rookie Fernando Carmona next to him, comes at a great time for both Latham and the Titans. With Latham playing to earn his fifth-year option at the end of the season, building chemistry with Carmona, and Dan Moore's subpar play at left tackle, Latham could be part of a long-term solution in Nashville.
