The Tennessee Titans fell short in an unexpected shootout against the Cincinnati Bengals at Paycor Stadium.
The Titans’ offense came to life behind Cam Ward’s career day. For the first time, Ward surpassed 300 passing yards and threw two touchdowns without his top wideout, and he clearly did enough to win the game. While it wasn’t perfect, it was Cam’s best game of the season, and he looked like the quarterback many expected to see in 2026.
Following the game, head coach Robert Saleh talked about Ward and the steps forward he saw on Sunday.

“The kid’s a fighter: he’s a really, really good football player, but it’s also an all-11 game from a protection
standpoint, to a skill player making plays,” Saleh said about Ward. “He looked awesome today; the tempo really does help Cam.”
The Titans played with tempo and had a balanced attack, with Ward making outstanding decisions most of the game. Yes, there were a few plays he would like to have back, but it was a positive step forward and should be viewed as a building block for the second half of the season.
