The Tennessee Titans (0-2) are set to visit the New York Giants (1-1) on Sunday at MetLife Stadium for a Week 3 matchup.
While the Giants are coming off a loss that included losing quarterback Jaxson Dart for the remainder of the season, the Titans put together what might have been their best performance in recent memory. The almost upset of the Philadelphia Eagles certainly inspired a bit of hope.
For fantasy football purposes, though, not much has changed in regard to Titans players. Here's a look at five players to start/sit for fantasy football in this matchup:
Sit: Titans QB Cam Ward
Ward wound up finishing as the QB11 during the Week 2 loss, but his fantasy performance was saved by a rushing touchdown. He still has only one passing touchdown this season, and he's
yet to top 183 passing yards in a single game. The arrow could be pointing up after an impressive win in Week 2, but he's not a startable asset in fantasy football yet.
Start: Titans RB Tony Pollard
The Titans backfield hasn't given much reason to be hopeful from a fantasy perspective, but Pollard could be floor play as a flex option in Week 3. There's a chance Tyjae Spears won't be available, which should give Pollard the majority of the work in the backfield. He posted a season-high 64 rushing yards in Week 2 so there's hope he could provide some flex-worthy production for those in a pinch.
Sit: Titans WR Carnell Tate
The No. 4 overall pick has gotten off to a slow start to begin his career. With just sveen receptions for 65 yards across two games, it's difficult to trust Tate in fantasy right now. The encouraging part of his season thus far is the fact that he holds a 24% target share. If he can hold that rate, he'll be a potential start-worthy candidate soon enough. But right now, he's not a reliable option.
Sit: Titans TE Gunnar Helm
There was some hope that Helm could break out if the offense took a step forward, but that hasn't been the case through two games. He's posted six receptions for 41 yards across two games while carrying a 16% target share. There are better stereaming options on the waiver wire.
Sit: Titans WR Elic Ayomanor
Ayomanor may have the explosive play ability in his bag, but the Titans offense isn't strong enough to carry multiple fantasy-relevant players. The second-year wideout has just a 13% target thare this season so he's out of the picture until something changes with his usage.
