The college football season is underway, and the controversies have already started, but that doesn’t do anything to dampen the excitement. That also gives the first real opportunity to see what NFL teams are thinking about the prospects and what universities will be producing players leading into the 2027 NFL Draft.
On Saturday, the game that drew the most attention from NFL scouting departments was clearly Clemson vs. LSU. 17 NFL franchises, including the Tennessee Titans, were on hand to watch LSU dominate.

Here are five prospects from that game that could
interest the Titans as the pre-draft process gets underway.
EDGE Jordan Ross - LSU
Entering the 2026 college season, Ross is projected as a Day 2 pick in the 2027 NFL Draft and could draw some interest from the Titans, who could use some young edge depth. An outstanding athlete who flashes tantalizing, rare traits that give an edge. At 6-foot-5, 245 pounds, he has room to grow into something special. He does need to improve his power and prove he can hold up against stouter competition, and he will have a chance this season with an increased role. An ascending prospect, he made an impact in the season opener against Clemson with four total tackles, one sack, and one interception.
OL Jordan Seaton - LSU
With Dan Moore and JC Latham still somewhat of a question mark, scouting tackles makes a ton of sense, and Jordan Seaton is one of the best offensive tackles in the draft. An experienced left tackle who has shown elite pass-blocking skills, he has rare quickness for a massive tackle at 6-foot-5, 330 pounds. He does need to show better production in the run game, but if the goal is to protect Cam Ward, he could be an option.
CB Ashton Hampton - Clemson
After watching the preseason, the Titans may need to spend some draft capital on a cornerback in the upcoming draft. Hampton still has some room to grow in coverage, but is a long (6-foot-2, 200 pounds) cornerback who enters the season as a Day 2 prospect. He is an experienced defensive back who may be a better fit for zone schemes than press-man, but is worth keeping an eye on. Hampton didn’t make any tackles against LSU, but he did pull in his first interception of the season.
LB Sammy Brown - Clemson
Tennessee appears to have hit a home run on rookie Anthony Hill Jr., but could look to add another impact player to their linebacking corps, and Brown fits the bill. A physical defender with sideline-to-sideline range and rare speed for the position, he plays with the physical, violent mantra that head coach Robert Saleh is trying to instill in his defense. He does need to show some improvement in 2026 in coverage, but if he can show some growth, he could be one of the top linebackers in this class. Brown recorded 10 total tackles (six solo) against LSU.
S Dashawn Spears - LSU
Tennessee didn’t do much at the safety position during the offseason and may look to add another young safety to the mix, and Spears could be that type of player. Spears has outstanding size, speed, and range for the safety position and can make plays against both the run and the pass. He does need to show some growth as he takes on a larger role in the defense, but he enters the season as one of the better safety prospects. Against Clemson, he recorded five total tackles and 0.5 sacks.
