The Tennessee Titans (0-1) are still trying to find their footing as the 2026 season begins, but it may not be a bad idea to consider future moves.
After an abysmal showing in the Week 1 loss against the New York Jets, it wouldn't be much of a surprise if second-year general manager Mike Borgonzi began to make moves to acquire 2027 draft picks.
One player who may be a potential trade candidate is defensive tackle Solomon Thomas, whom the Titans acquired in March from the Dallas Cowboys. Kristopher Knox of Bleacher Report believes the Titans could get conditional seventh-round pick for the veteran.
The Tennessee Titans acquired Thomas in an offseason trade with the Dallas Cowboys. Adding him made some sense, as it reunited Thomas with new Titans head
coach Robert Saleh. However, Thomas will be a free agent in 2027. After getting blown out in Week 1, it's hard to imagine Tennessee becoming playoff-relevant before then.
Thomas probably isn't a starter at this stage of his career, but the 30-year-old recorded 27 tackles and three tackles for loss in a rotational role with Dallas last season.
Knox listed the Atlanta Falcons and Los Angeles Chargers as potential trade suitors for the former first-round pick.
Thomas appears to be heading toward another season as a rotational defender. He didn't record a single tackle or quarterback pressure on 20 defensive snaps during the Week 1 loss against the Jets.
With the state of the franchise in flux, the Titans may be forced to consider parting ways with anyone they can get something for as the midseason trade deadline appraoches.
