While most of the stories coming out on Sunday focus on players that NFL teams will be releasing, the Tennessee Titans decided to change things up and make the story about a player who earned his way onto the roster: wide receiver Xavier Restrepo.
From college star to undrafted rookie free agent following a disastrous pre-draft process, Restrepo has persevered, and his hard work has paid off. One of the all-time college greats, Restrepo followed Cam Ward to Nashville and came up just short in 2025.

After an uneven training camp, Restrepo landed on the Titans’ practice squad and languished there for most of the season. And then, just when he was given a chance, the end of his rookie season was wiped out by an ankle injury.
Undeterred, Restrepo worked hard during the offseason to improve his speed and quickness, and that hard work paid off. Throughout the offseason, Restrepo was almost always open and produced consistently during training camp, regardless of who was at quarterback, and that production carried over into the preseason.
Restrepo finished the preseason as the Titans’ leading receiver, pulling in eight balls for 97 yards. Now, after all of that hard work, he made his way onto the roster and will look to carve out a role in the regular season.
