The Tennessee Titans showed some life, but poor ball security and splash plays cost them, and the Baltimore Ravens dominated the scoreboard in a 24-18 win at M&T Bank Stadium.
The Titans moved the ball, but multiple turnovers and questionable play calling cost them. Cam Ward threw a critical interception early, and Carnell Tate lost one of his two fumbles, both of which cost the Titans points on offense and set up the Ravens for scores.
The game stayed close after Baltimore lost quarterback Lamar Jackson to an ankle injury late in the first half, but Tennessee couldn't get anything going in the second half and missed a golden opportunity to come back. The effort was there, but the execution didn't match.
Final Score: Ravens 24, Titans 18
Keys to the Game
- Special teams penalties: The Titans again committed multiple special teams penalties that cost them valuable yardage and wiped out some solid gains in the return game. Chimere Dike looked better, but the unit kept pinning the Titans' offense deep and giving the Ravens an advantage.
- Turnovers: Tennessee lost the turnover battle against the Ravens, and their turnovers came at inopportune times, killing momentum and setting the Ravens up to add points. The Titans defense did what it could, but it couldn't hold up against the explosive Baltimore offense. Tennessee had the two turnovers and another turnover on downs, and Baltimore scored 17 points off those miscues.
- Offensive playcalling: Brian Daboll's play calling was better in the first half, but it fell off a cliff in the second, and Tennessee couldn't get anything going or take advantage of the Ravens' injuries. Couple that with a questionable fourth-down wildcat call as the Titans tried to punch in a game-tying touchdown in the second quarter, and it's clear Daboll needs to be held accountable for his decision-making.
It was over when...
The Titans failed to punch in a game-tying
touchdown in the second quarter when offensive coordinator Brian Daboll called a head-scratching wildcat run with Tony Pollard. Baltimore changed momentum and quickly extended the lead to 21-7.
Players of the Game
- WR Carnell Tate: Tate had his best game as a pro, breaking out with nine receptions for 145 yards, and is quickly developing into a game-changing threat for the Titans offense.
- LB Cody Barton: Barton had one of his best games of the 2026 season and helped lead the charge for the Titans defense. The veteran linebacker finished with eight total tackles and made some big stops when Tennessee needed them.
- RB Tony Pollard: Pollard didn't put up game-changing numbers in this one, but he ran hard and was consistent, finishing with 16 carries for 48 yards and one touchdown, and chipped in two receptions.
Injuries
Tennessee had some bumps and bruises with Jeffery Simmons and Marcus Harris leaving the game at different stages, but both returned to the field during the contest.
