The Tennessee Titans' rookies reported for training camp on July 24, with the veterans slated to report on Tuesday, July 28. For most teams, the starting lineups are largely set with returning players and high-value free agency signings. The expectations for starters are different than for depth players, but even those who are considered rotational pieces can make an impact on a team.
FOX Sports NFL reporter Ben Arthur recently named an x-factor for every AFC team in 2026. For the Titans, the name might surprise you.
Kevin Winston Jr.S, Tennessee Titans
Winston recently said there was never a point as a rookie when he felt like himself physically. Now in Year 2, the former third-round pick is fully healthy from ACL and hamstring injuries and should
benefit in a big way from the Titans’ much-improved defensive line.
Winston was called on often last season as the Titans' secondary was decimated by trades and injuries. The former third-round pick appeared in 10 games in 2025 and recorded 34 tackles (21 solo), one sack, two passes defensed, and five stuffs.
He wasn't pegged to be a starter in 2025, but he has the opportunity to earn that role in 2026. The Titans' secondary returns only a handful of faces, with Amani Hooker being the only starter from 2025 to return. Winston has had plenty of time to recover from his injuries, so we will get to see what he truly has to offer in 2026. Given his performance in 2025, he certainly could have a big impact on the field in 2026.
