The Tennessee Titans finished off their week of practice and now head into the weekend looking ahead to their Week 7 matchup with the Cleveland Browns.
One of the big unknowns heading into Sunday is cornerback Alontae Taylor's status; he was made inactive against the Indianapolis Colts and has taken on new assignments this week. Taylor was signed to play on the outside, but after some early-season struggles, he sat down for a reset and is now taking reps at nickel.
From the sound of it, Taylor is making strides, although the system is different, and Robert Saleh addressed that ahead of practice.

"He's very, very talented in that regard, and he's not just going to play nickel. I just want to make sure he can still play corner, and he's done a lot of really good things for us," Saleh said. For me, it's more about getting his energy back, getting him back to who we know he is. And we'll get him back on the field and playing to the level that we expect him to."
As much as Taylor may not like it, adding him to the nickel/dime rotation would boost the Titans’ defense and add another dynamic player inside alongside Marcus Harris. Taylor plays physically and can match up with receivers, blitz, and play the run.
Will he play this week? No one will know until Sunday, but it wouldn’t surprise anyone if he did.
