The Tennessee Titans will face the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday, and former Titans star Derrick Henry will lead the Ravens' offense. Henry was a fan favorite in Nashville and set multiple records as the face of the franchise for eight seasons before heading to Baltimore as an unrestricted free agent.
On Wednesday, speaking with the media, he discussed his departure and revealed the truth: Tennessee did not try to lure him back. In fact, then general manager Ran Carthon almost dealt him to the Ravens during the season before his departure.

“It’s always love!” Henry said, “But no, they didn’t offer that at all.”
That’s an incredible revelation, especially considering how well Henry has played since leaving Nashville and finding a home in the Ravens high-powered attack.
Tennessee replaced Henry with Tony Pollard, who has been solid leading the Titans’ ground game, but no disrespect, he isn’t Derrick Henry. Pollard may bring consistency and production, but doesn’t bring the same combination of power and explosiveness to Tennessee’s backfield that they had with King Henry.
On Sunday, Henry will have a chance to show Tennessee they made a huge mistake letting him explore free agency, and Jeffery Simmons and the defense will have to be ready to stand up to him on his home turf.
