The Tennessee Titans (0-3) hit the road this weekend hoping to find some life against a tough Baltimore Ravens (2-1) opponent at M&T Bank Stadium in Baltimore, Maryland.
The Week 4 matchup may not present the best opportunity for the Titans to figure out their issues on both sides of the ball, but especially on offense where they've struggled massively to begin the campaign. Meanwhile, the Ravens look to be heading toward another solid season led by their big three.
For fantasy football purposes, the must-start players include: Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson, running back Derrick Henry and wide receiver Zay Flowers.
Now, here's a look at the start/sit decisions for the rest of the crop in this Week 4 matchup:
Sit: Titans QB Cam Ward
There simply isn't enough evidence
to support putting Ward in starting lineups at this point. Currently entering the week as the QB22 while averaging 13.2 fantasy points per game, Ward also has just two touchdown passes and an 82.9 passer rating on the season. The Ravens have been fine against quarterbacks this season, but Ward just isn't in the conversation at this point.
Sit: Titans RB Tony Pollard
Even though the veteran is coming off the best game of the young season thus far, he's probably a sit this week against the Ravens. The ceiling isn't there for the Titans offense for Pollard to have an explosive game so we'd be relying on a breakaway run. Pollard put together 96 total yards on 21 opportunities last week so he could be a last-ditch flex option in deep leagues. But it's best to avoid him where possible.
Sit: Titans WR Carnell Tate
It just doesn't seem like it's going to happen for the rookie wideout right now. The Titans offense is facing too many issues and even when Tate is targeted, there's a good chance it's not a catchable ball. Titans fans shouldn't give up hope on the young receiver with a solid 25% target share, but he's best left on the bench until this offense shows signs of life.
Start: Ravens TE Mark Andrews
This may not be the most exciting start, and the Titans have actually been fantastic against the tight end position this season, allowing the fewest fantasy points above expectation to tight ends. With that said, the Ravens offense isn't like a unit the Titans have faced yet so there's certainly a chance Andrews finds the end zone or provides a solid line in the receiving game.
Sit: Ravens WR Rashod Bateman
The former first-round pick showed some explosiveness during the one-game absence of Zay Flowers, but he's likely to take a back seat in the pecking order with the star receiver back on the field. This game script is likely going to feature a lot of Derrick Henry in his revenge game against Tennessee so Bateman is a risky play for those wanting some consistency.
