After another loss to start the season 0-4 for the second straight year, the Tennessee Titans return home to face the also 0-4 Houston Texans. With starting safety Amani Hooker ruled out with a concussion, the Titans' practice squad move this week included a safety.

The Titans used only one of their two standard practice squad elevations for the fifth consecutive week. Veteran safety Isaiah Oliver received his first call-up of the season. Not only is Amani Hooker ruled out for the game, but fellow starting safety Kevin Winston Jr. was limited in practice all week with a shoulder injury.
The Titans like to have five safeties active on game day, with two primarily on special
teams duties. Oliver is intriguing, as he has experience as a starter (43 starts) in the league from his time with the Atlanta Falcons and San Francisco 49ers. However, that experience was as a cornerback before he converted to safety in 2025 with the New York Jets.
Whether he gets used as a safety or on special teams remains to be seen, but all five safeties that have been active for the Titans have played in all four games this season. The Titans will take on the Texans at 1 PM EST/12 PM CST on Sunday at Nissan Stadium, with CBS carrying it on TV.
