The Tennessee Titans suffered a heartbreaking Week 2 loss, falling 24-20 to the Philadelphia Eagles in a highly competitive matchup.
While there are no moral victories in the NFL, the game was a giant step forward for the Titans, who looked completely overmatched by the New York Jets in Week 1. It was also a solid step forward for the offense and Cam Ward, who used balance and a few explosive plays to put them in a position to win.
So, how did his performance grade out? Brent Soblesky of Bleacher Report was impressed and gave him a positive critique.

Cam Ward's performance in Week 1 caused plenty of doubters to enter the
public sphere and question whether he's going to be a franchise quarterback. The 2025 No. 1 overall draft pick responded with a strong outing against the Philadelphia Eagles. Though the Tennessee Titans couldn't hold their fourth-quarter lead and ultimately lost the contest.
Grade: B
In recent weeks, Ward has taken some much-deserved heat, although none of the issues were on him. But as the face of the franchise and a former first-overall pick, he needs to become more consistent and start taking control. Sunday was a positive step, but there is still a lot more room to grow.
