The Tennessee Titans have limped out to a 1-5 start to the 2026 NFL season, and their on-field performances have been uneven at best, leaving many to wonder what the franchise holds in store as it heads toward the trade deadline.
The Titans have struggled on offense under Brian Daboll and Cam Ward, and it’s hard to pinpoint the root of the issues. While the unit has had some moments, one player, Tony Pollard, continues to add some consistency, which could make him an attractive asset as the deadline nears.
Matt Verderame of Sports Illustrated agrees and lists Pollard as one of thetop NFL players who could be dealt at the deadline.
It’s hard to tell what general manager Mike Borgonzi will do at the trade deadline. Yes, the Titans are struggling,
but have also shown some growth. While they are unlikely to make a significant jump in the standings, the overall growth could pay dividends moving forward, and Pollard could play a part with that in 2026.
But for a team that wants to draft-and-develop, adding extra draft capital for a player on an expiring contract could be enticing. Verderame nailed it with Pollard; he is a consistent back who could definitely help a contender, although a divisional foe like the Jags is an unlikely destination if the Titans did decide to make a deal.
