The NFL regular season is set to kick off on Wednesday and teams are beginning to release their depth charts for the start of the regular season.
The Tennessee Titans are no different, and on Tuesday, they released their first depth chart of the regular season ahead of their Week 1 matchup with the New York Jets. While there were no real surprises, it is interesting that no one is listed behind linebacker Cedric Gray, who enters the week in the NFL’s concussion protocol.

Two other starters, Alontae Taylor and Was’Dale Robinson do not have dedicated backups identified on the initial depth chart.
As expected, the five new faces added after the initial cuts have fallen into place
as backups. Offensive tackle James Hudson III at left tackle behind Dan Moore, linebacker Owen Pappoe behind Cody Barton at linebacker, cornerback Melvin Smith Jr. behind Marcus Harris at nickel back, and safety Terrell Burgess behind Kevin Winston Jr. at one of the safety spots. Defensive tackle Nazir Stackhouse is listed as a third team defensive tackle behind John Franklin-Myers and Jordan Elliot.
Outside of the new additions, the rest of the depth chart fell exactly how many roster projections predicted.
