The Tennessee Titans dropped their preseason finale to the Chicago Bears, 24-15, and some players took their last NFL snaps as cutdowns approach. But for some young guys, it was a great opportunity to gain valuable experience.
One of those was rookie linebacker Anthony Hill Jr., who got some extended snaps working as the MIKE and again proved to be one of the best players on the field. Following the game, the young linebacker opened up about calling the defense and how the veterans are helping him get up to speed.

“Yeah, like, you know, it. So of course guys
like Sid, Cody, like a lot of, uh, Hook, a lot of them kind of help me understand the role. You need to add this, do this. They’ll give me a little extra here, a tip here, so it kind of helped me out with some of that stuff.”
By now, everyone who has watched the Titans during the preseason has seen Hill make an impact on the field with his sideline-to-sideline athleticism and instincts, but as defensive coordinator Gus Bradley said, it’s Hill’s consistency in managing the defense on the field that will eventually lead to increased playing time.
Saturday night might not have been perfect, but for Hill, it was another step forward in his development, and another sign that he needs to be on the field as much as possible in 2026.
