The Tennessee Titans were back on the practice field for their final day of the NFL training camp acclimation period, and the players were back to work.
One of the players tasked with meeting with the media after practice was quarterback Will Levis, who is currently locked in a battle with Mitch Trubisky to be Cam Ward’s backup. He is also focused on development and rebuilding his stock while hoping to again become a starter in the league.

When asked about his future as a starter, Levis responded
with, “100 percent. There are not 32 quarterbacks in this league better than me; I know that for sure.”
Levis has always been known for his confidence and strong arm, but has yet to put it all together. Some of his lack of development may not be all his fault; when healthy, his coaching and the system he was playing under were not conducive to optimizing his talents. Even in 2024, when he was anointed the starter, head coach Brian Callahan’s system did little to develop him, and the shoulder injury which forced him to miss all of 2025 likely played a role.
For his career, Levis has not been as bad as some would believe. In 21 games, he’s completed 339-of-556 passes (61.0 percent) for 3,899 yards, 21 touchdowns and 16 interceptions, and a good training camp and preseason may force Tennessee to make a tough decision.
