The Tennessee Titans lost their fifth straight game on Sunday when they hosted the Houston Texans in their first divisional game of 2026.
Entering the game, both teams were 0-4. The Texans' defense showed up, though, and finally seemed to remember how they looked last year. What had previously been a poor secondary understood the assignment against the Titans, probably because head coach DeMeco Ryans took over defensive play-calling duties. Cam Ward was held to 170 yards through the air, and no skill player had more than 55 yards in any category.
Except Chimere Dike, whose 147 kick return yards and 28 receiving yards gave him 175 all-purpose yards.
It was not a good game for the Titans. Blown coverages, bad blocking, poor decision-making, and overall
poor play allowed the Texans to walk away with a 26-3 win.
