The biggest storyline in Nashville this week, after the Tennessee Titans' disastrous loss to the New York Jets, is whether Cam Ward is the Titans' future.
Ward had another uneven performance against the Jets and again looked uncomfortable running the offense. Couple that with some accuracy issues and what appeared to be a dwindling pocket presence, and those questions may warrant a discussion.
While many are running away from Ward, Terron Armstead of the NFL on CBS is not one of them.

and those scars will callus him; he will develop into a great quarterback one of these days.”
Ward has shown flashes, and as this segment pointed out, he is under his third play caller since entering the NFL last season. But are those flashes enough? Honestly, it’s too early to tell, especially when comparing Ward to some of his contemporaries.

I compared Cam’s first 18 NFL starts to Josh Allen, Sam Darnold, Trevor Lawrence and Bryce Young.
And I added one more name Titans fans know pretty well: Steve McNair.

This week will be another test, and another chance for Ward to take a step forward. It won’t be easy against the stout Philadelphia Eagles when they come to Nashville for some Week 2 action.
