The Tennessee Titans have made an intriguing addition to their defensive line, claiming former Las Vegas Raiders defensive tackle Jonah Laulu off waivers. In a corresponding move, the team waived defensive tackle Timmy Horne to make room for the addition.

The 26-year-old defensive tackle was released by Las Vegas on Tuesday, after being a healthy scratch this past Sunday. He was originally selected by the Indianapolis Colts in the seventh round of the 2024 NFL Draft and was claimed off waivers by the Raiders before his rookie season.
Laulu recorded 86 tackles throughout his first
two seasons, which was the most by a Raiders defensive tackle through his first two seasons with the franchise. He also registered eight tackles for loss and 4.5 sacks during the 2025 season, demonstrating his ability to contribute against both the run and pass.
However, Laulu's role diminished this season, as he appeared in just five games under new Raiders coach Klint Kubiak. Despite his reduced playing time, Tennessee is getting a young defensive lineman who has already demonstrated the ability to contribute at the NFL level.
With the Titans sitting at 1-6 entering Week 8, adding a player with Laulu's previous production could provide much-needed depth and another option alongside Jeffery Simmons. Whether Laulu can regain his previous form remains to be seen, but Tennessee has made a low-risk move to strengthen its defensive front.
