During Sunday’s 12-7 loss to the New York Giants, Tennessee managed just 54 yards of total offense in the first half, tying the fewest first-half yards the franchise has recorded since at least 2010. The Titans also had only one first down before halftime.
It is also the lowest mark in the NFL this season, just one yard shorter than the 55 yards they managed in the first half of their Week 1 matchup against the New York Jets. The Titans
offense has eventually found a rhythm after halftime in each of their three games, but the slow starts have proved costly as comeback attempts fell short in their last two games.
Both New York teams have been the Titans’ kryptonite this season, so avoiding another team from that area this season may help their offensive struggles. Now sitting at 0-3, the Titans' first-half offense will need to find answers quickly if they want to keep pace with the high-scoring Baltimore Ravens in Week 4.
